Design That Earns Trust
Before a Button Is Clicked.

Great software fails when users can't figure it out. Gensoft's UX designers research how your users think, design interfaces that feel obvious, and validate every flow before developers build it — so your product converts, retains, and delights.

Design That Works

Good Design Is Invisible. Bad Design Is Everywhere.

UX (User Experience) is about whether users can achieve their goals easily and without frustration. UI (User Interface) is about whether the product looks polished, consistent, and trustworthy. You need both — and they must be built on real user research, not assumptions.

Gensoft designs end to end — from the first user research sessions through wireframes, high-fidelity prototypes, and the component-based design system your developers will build from. Every design decision is grounded in evidence, not personal taste.

What We Design for You

From early-stage research to a polished, developer-ready design system — we cover every stage of the product design lifecycle.

User Research

Interviews, surveys, heatmaps, session recordings, and competitive analysis to understand exactly who your users are, what they want, and where your current product is losing them.

Wireframing & Information Architecture

Low-fidelity wireframes and site maps that lock down structure, navigation hierarchy, and user flows before visual design begins — so decisions are fast and reversible.

Interactive Prototyping

High-fidelity, clickable prototypes in Figma that simulate the real product — complete with transitions, micro-interactions, and responsive breakpoints for stakeholder sign-off and user testing.

UI Visual Design

Pixel-perfect interface design — typography, colour systems, iconography, spacing, and motion guidelines — that gives your product a distinctive visual identity and builds user trust at first glance.

Design System Creation

A shared library of reusable components, tokens, and guidelines that keeps your product visually consistent across every screen — and slashes implementation time for every new feature your team builds.

Usability Testing & UX Audit

Moderated and unmoderated tests with real users to surface friction, confusion, and drop-off points. A UX audit of an existing product identifies your top 10 usability issues with prioritised fixes in two weeks.

Design Process

How We Design: Research First, Pixels Last

Most design failures happen when teams skip straight to colours and layouts. We start with understanding people — and let that drive every visual decision.

01
Discover & Research

User interviews, persona building, journey mapping, and competitive benchmarking. We build a shared understanding of who we're designing for and what success looks like for them.

02
Define & Strategise

We synthesise research into clear problem statements and design principles — the criteria every design decision will be measured against throughout the project.

03
Wireframe & Structure

Lo-fi wireframes and user flow diagrams map the navigation and interaction model before any visual design. Fast to produce, fast to change, and easy for stakeholders to give feedback on.

04
Prototype & Interact

High-fidelity Figma prototypes simulate the complete product — animations, hover states, mobile gestures, and error flows included. Stakeholders experience the product before a single line of code is written.

05
Test with Real Users

We run moderated and unmoderated usability sessions with members of your target audience — watching where they hesitate, what they misunderstand, and what delights them. Then we iterate.

06
Handoff & Support

We deliver a developer-ready Figma file with all assets exported, component annotations, spacing specs, and a design system library. We stay available during development to answer implementation questions.

FAQ

UI/UX Design FAQs

Common questions from product and engineering leaders evaluating design services.

Talk to a Designer

Developer-built UIs are functional but often miss critical UX concerns — information hierarchy, cognitive load, error recovery, onboarding friction, and accessibility. A dedicated UX process costs a fraction of rebuilding a UI after launch because users are confused, churning, or raising support tickets. The question isn't whether to invest in UX — it's whether to pay for it upfront in design or later in lost users and engineering rework.

A UX audit of an existing product takes 2 weeks. A new product design (from research through high-fidelity prototype) typically takes 6–12 weeks depending on the number of screens and complexity. A full design system for a large product is 8–16 weeks. We can also embed designers into your sprint cycle on a monthly retainer for continuous design iteration alongside development.

Developers receive a Figma file containing: all screens at every state (default, hover, error, empty, loading), a component library with every UI element annotated with spacing, typography, and colour tokens, exported assets (icons, images, illustrations), interaction specifications for animations and transitions, and a responsive breakpoint guide. We also hold a walkthrough session with the development team before they begin implementation.

Yes — and this is a nuanced challenge we handle regularly. We begin with a UX audit to understand what's working and what isn't, then prioritise improvements by impact vs. disruption. For established products with existing users, we typically recommend progressive redesigns — improving one area at a time with A/B testing or feature flags — rather than big-bang relaunches that disorient loyal users.

Yes — WCAG 2.1 AA compliance is a standard part of our UI/UX process, not an optional add-on. This includes sufficient colour contrast ratios, keyboard navigation support, clear focus indicators, properly labelled interactive elements, and logical reading order. For products serving regulated industries or public sector clients, we can also target WCAG 2.1 AAA and Section 508 compliance.
